About You:

The candidate that would be most successful in this role would participate in our collective team effort while also contributing independently. They would be self-motivated, focused, a team player, possess problem-solving skills, multi-tasking abilities, strong interpersonal skills, and a genuine thirst for driving sales.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Inside sales at the PDC, in our Partner Showroom; assist all clients visiting the showroom or over the phone/e-mail with trimming, drapery hardware, and fabric selections
  • Outside sales in Southern California, as business requires, with additional territories in California and the surrounding area as needed and requested by management
  • Responsible for all aspects of the sales process; selling, order entry, follow up, processing, and tracking
  • Manage, maintain, and build client list
  • Proactive business development; seek/develop new and inactive established clients
  • Be a brand ambassador and a trusted resource to clients on all Houlès product categories
  • Support Showroom team and Customer Service Manager with daily/periodic showroom tasks; organization, installing new launches, and event preparation/participation
  • Support and report to senior management
  • Contribute and provide market feedback from clients
  • Establish new drapery hardware clients via outreach and travel in Southern California region
  • Establish and participate in trade shows in Southern California

Job Requirements/Skills

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a showroom sales position and/or outside sales position
  • Valid driver license and car, required
  • Established A&D client relationships is required
  • Experience and/or knowledge of Interior Design. Knowledge of trimming, drapery hardware, and/or fabric, a plus
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a small team
  • Proficient in computer applications (Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook), required
  • Follow-up, organization, planning, and documentation skills
  • Strong work ethic, ambition, and drive
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to an international environment
