Second Nature by Matt Devine
The Pacific Design Center is pleased to present Second Nature, an exhibition of works by Matt Devine. In SecondNature, Matt Devine presents seven freestanding sculptures that explore renewal, balance, and transformation.Installed throughout the Pacific Design Center’s lobby, these works invite viewers to pause and breathe, offering amoment of lightness and space within the architecture.Through reimagined forms and refined materials, Devinetransforms the familiar into something entirely new. The sculptures suggest movement and possibility — an effortlessevolution where past and present converge, and reinvention becomes, quite literally, second nature. Born and raisedin New England, Devine moved to California in 1995, where he learned to weld and fabricate metal while workingalongside his father. He spent 20 formative years in San Diego, where his professional art career developed andsolidified. Devine has exhibited in art galleries across North America, Asia and Europe and his works can be found ina myriad of private, corporate and public art collections on five continents.
